For months now, with a bit of a smile, I had remarked that this or that was behind me – like my days of embroidery or travel or romance. But in doing so, I had never really believed it. But in my heart of hearts, I  imagine that, even if unattended to, these aspects of my life are lingering somewhere on the periphery, waiting to be recalled.
